Symptoms

Oracle Internet Directory (OID) 11g, i.e. 11.1.1.7.0 using LDAP based Replication Server.

Configuring replication via Enterprise Manager (EM) or remtool fails.

Replication log shows:

Attempting a cleanup as per Note:      How To Cleanup And Reconfigure OID LDAP Multimaster Replication in OID 11g <Document 1387146.1>

Then retrying with EM > Step 7, it still fails and incorrectly shows the same first hostname for the second host Replicaid, i.e.:

Primary Node           <SUPPLIER_HOSTNAME>    3060   ...orclreplicaid =<SUPPLIER_HOSTNAME>_<DATABASE1>...  
Secondary Node       <CONSUMER_HOSTNAME>    3060   ...orclreplicaid =<SUPPLIER_HOSTNAME>_<DATABASE1>...


Trying another remtool -pcleanup, verifying replication agreements are gone, and then remtool -paddnode still fails with:
