Coherence GAR Application Deployed as a Module in a Versioned Enterprise Archive Application (EAR) Fails to Load its Cache Configuration File (Doc ID 1669538.1)

Symptoms

The WebLogic Server domain contains a Coherence cluster as a data tier, and has two WebLogic Server managed servers as the application tier.  A Coherence Grid Archive (GAR) file is deployed to the Coherence cluster to provide the clustered cache storage and is also included as a module in an Enterprise Application Archive (EAR) deployed to the application tier, which is storage-disabled.

When trying to start the EAR application the following error is reported:
