On WebCenter Portal 11.1.1.8, when a new Announcement is created, no email is sent to users who have subscribed to the announcement creation on the Portal.
The following high level steps shows what is done:
1 .Create 2 users, userA and userB and ensure email address is entered for both in LDAP server.
2. Configure Discussions & Announcements, setup Email connection and External Application (with shared credential) in Portal Service Configuration.
3. As userA, create a Portal, Add announcement task flow and add userB as member.
4. As userB, login to Portal and subscribe to the announcements (browser Portal, right click on the portal name, subsribe)
5. As userA, create an announcement.
6. Check if email is received by userB. No email will be received.
