Cannot add AD users to Roles in Fusion Middleware Control (EM)

Symptoms
On : 11.1.1.7.0 version, SSL Configuration Tool
When installing a new 11.1.1.7 domain and configured it with Active Directory over SSL everything works fine when authenticating to /console and /em and adding users through /console.
However, when attempting to add a group to a SOA Role an exception is shown.
The certificate is valid, the truststore as displayed on the screen is where indicated, but for some reason the EM SOA Role management cannot find it.
This problem did not occurred on 11.1.1.6.
