"Needs Approval" Link for Dependencies Accessed from Advanced UI Workflow Status Results in HTTP 400 Error (Doc ID 1675723.1)

Symptoms

In WebCenter Sites 11.1.1.8.0, an HTTP 400 error is thrown when attempting to click the "Needs approval" link in the Admin UI, from the list that results when viewing the list of dependencies from an assets Status page.

The sites.log has the an entry similar to the following:

 

To reproduce this issue:

1 - Make sure that the sites  futuretense_xcel.ini file has the following entry:
        advancedUI.enableAssetForms=true

2 - Inspect the asset with dependencies and click the green check mark to approve for publish. Don't approve the dependencies in the following screen.


3 - Click the Status icon (clock icon).
This will show the asset's Status page. If the asset has been approved, the number of dependencies will be shown in this window.

4 - Click on the link "NN dependent assets"

5 - Click on the "Needs Approval" link for an asset in this list.
This results in HTTP 400 error
