WebCenter Content (WCC) 11.1.1.8 - Credential Maps Roles are not Working after User Clicks Update on Profile page

Symptoms
After recently upgrading to 11.1.1.8 MLR 2 it was discovered that Credential Maps are no longer mapping properly.
Steps to Replicate:
1. Create Active Directory (AD) group ECMtest-Internal-Contributor and add a external user testuser1.
2. On content server credential maps, add the following map: ECMtest-Internal-Contributor, Internal-Contributor
3. Restart the content server and view the profile for testuser1. The correct roles is displayed: Internal-Contributor
4. If the user clicks on the 'Update' button and the role changes back to: ECMtest-Internal-Contributor. The Credential Map is not used after clicking on the Update.
This was working on 11.1.1.8 before MLR 2.
This issue was also confirmed while using DefaultAuthenticator
