Weblogic Server JSESSIONID Lost When Application Uses Set-Cookie In Apache Configuration (Doc ID 1682547.1)

Symptoms

The environment is as follows:

Browser -> Load Balancer -> Apache -> Two WLS Clusters running on two different Data Centers (both are active)

In order to maintain session stickiness to one Data Center, a cookie is added to the HTTP Response in the Apache http.conf file. For example:

where "INVUATDC01" is the Data Center-specific cookie that is added to the HTTP response.

With this configuration, WLS Sessions are lost. The user is redirected to the Login page for every request.
