Information in this document applies to any platform.
OAM version:
RSA SecurID server version: 7.1.2 SP 4

Customer had installed the RSA SecurID plugin as per the directions in following guide:

Oracle® Fusion Middleware Administrator's Guide for Oracle Access Management
11g Release 2 ( for All Platforms

Part Number E27239-12

Specifically chapter 48.4 and 48.5

This results in;

OAM appears to be using it, but the plugin is not attempting to talk to the SecurID server.

Customer is running tcpdump on the port that it should be talking to, and not seeing any traffic.

On the OAM side, it appears to not be happy with the configuration. The following is the log from the OAM side:

[2014-07-10 13:48:58,190] FATAL [ACTIVE] ExecuteThread: '0' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default (self-tuning)' - RSA Authentication API for Java v8.[1148] started
[2014-07-10 13:48:58,197] ERROR [ACTIVE] ExecuteThread: '0' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default (self-tuning)' - {RealmConfig.updateNewProtocolInfo} Invalid config file null
[2014-07-10 13:48:58,197] ERROR [ACTIVE] ExecuteThread: '0' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default (self-tuning)' - Invalid configuration filenull

What does the "invalid config file null" message mean? What config file is it referring to, and what (and where ) is it expecting it to be?
