How to Increase the Timeout Value for Global Search in WebCenter Portal? (Doc ID 1909096.1)

Goal

Global Search (search task flow displayed at the top of the seeded WebCenter Portal home page) results in the following error:

Search failure: time out error

This is an indication that a timeout has reached prior to completion of search. In order to complete the search successfully and results to render without an error, the search timeout must be increased.

This document provides step-by-step details to increase the search timeout. Similarly, you may increase other parameters used by the search configuration.

NOTE: Personal search preferences allows selection from available services that may be searched by the Search task flow. The preferences may be accessed as follows:
=> WebCenter Portal Builder (seeded home page) => Preferences => Search (http://<HOST>:<PORT>/webcenter/portal/builder/preferences/search)
