Last updated on OCTOBER 20, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Access Manager - Version 11.1.2.2.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

When installing IHS 8.5 Webgate on Red Hat Linux  RHEL 6.5 (64 bit)operating system the required 32 bit JDK 1.7 (either in silent or GUI mode) results in errors:

GUI installation may not launch and you may see:

X-Server access is denied on host
[Fatal Error] DISPLAY variable set incorrectly: :0.0
[Resolution] Verify that your DISPLAY environment variable is set correctly,

Silent installation will fail and you may see:

Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM warning: You have loaded library
/tmp/OraInstall2014-06-12_06-12-48PM/oui/lib/linux/liboraInstaller.so which
might have disabled stack guard. The VM will try to fix the stack guard now.
It's highly recommended that you fix the library with 'execstack -c
', or link it with '-z noexecstack'.

What might be the cause of these errors and how to workaround them?
