WebLogic Server 12.1.2: Unable to Change the Subdeployment Target of a Uniform Distributed Queue (UDQ) (Doc ID 1913120.1)

Symptoms

Customers report being unable to change the subdeployment target of a Uniform distributed Queue (UDQ) in WebLogic Server 12.1.2. This was possible in WebLogic Server 10.3.6 and 12.1.1, but in 12.1.2, when the subdeployment target of a UDQ is changed, the other target is not seen the list of already created subdeployments in the drop down menu.

For example, consider the following scenario:

Customer has 3 subdeployments:

• SubDep0 - not targeted to any servers
• SubDep1 - targeted to a cluster
• SubDep2 - targeted to two JMS servers

He has 2 UDQs:

• UDQ1 - Targeted to SubDep1
• UDQ2 - Targeted to SubDep2

His requirement is to change the subdeployment of UDQ2 from SubDep2 to SubDep1.

In WLS 12.1.2, when we click on the subdeployment target drop down menu (in UDQ), none of the subdeployments are seen (the drop down is blank).
