Importing a Portal for WebCenter portal Using importWebCenterPortals Command Fails with Error: An internal JPS error occurred while exporting / importing application roles (Doc ID 1915746.1)

Symptoms


When attempting to import a portal using importWebCenterPortals wlst command,
the following error occurs.

ERROR

Unexpected error occurred while importing the security policy. Unable to import the policy store.
An internal JPS error occurred while exporting / importing application roles.
Check the WebCenter Portal log files for additional details.

 

STEPS

  1. Export a Portal using the importWebCenterPortals command.
    This should return the error.
    For example:

    wls:/wcp_domain/domainRuntime> importWebCenterPortals(appName='webcenter', fileName='/tmp/Portal_Test.par', names='Portal_Test', importLog='Portal_Test_import.log', server='WC_Spaces')
    Starting portal import.
    Importing "Portal_Test"
    Processing metadata...
    Processing data...
    Data processing complete.
    ...Import 25% complete...
    Metadata processing complete.
    ...Import 50% complete...
    Processing security...
    Portal/Portal Template import operation failed. Cause of failures:
    'Portal_Test': Unexpected error occurred while importing the security policy. Unable to import the policy store.
    An internal JPS error occurred while exporting / importing application roles.
    Check the WebCenter Portal log files for additional details.
