In Exalogic Environments NFSv4 & NIS Is Configured And Working As Expected But You Still Encounter "nss_getpwnam: name 'nobody' does not map into domain xxx" Errors In /var/log/messages (Doc ID 1926409.1)

Symptoms

You have an Exalogic System running as a Physical or Virtual deployment where compute nodes or guest vServers have been configured to mount a share from the ZFS Storage Applicance using the NFSv4 protocol.

All appears to be working as expected but, on a regular and ongoing basis, you see log entries similar to the following in your /var/log/message files:


As a result you believe something may be incorrect in your NFSv4 configuration and would like to resolve this to eliminate the constant stream of the above log messages from the /var/log/messages file.
