OUD/ODSEE - Replication Gateway - DS-RS Configuration and Monitoring using "cn=monitor" (Doc ID 1928460.1)

Information in this document applies to any platform.

Purpose

To show how the OUD-ODSEE Replication Gateway connects with the Directory Server (DS) / Replication Server (RS) this document has the following sections:

1. Replication Gateway Instance Configuration under cn=config

2. Replication Server Configuration under cn=config

3. Replication Gateway Monitoring using cn=monitor to demonstrate the OUD replication server switch

4. Heartbeat (failure detection, during port replication/port outage) with error -

Replication Heartbeat Monitor on RS ...... is closing the session because it could not detect a heartbeat
Could not connect to any replication server on suffix <SUFFIX_DN> among the following RS candidates {}, retrying...

5. Not able to store data (OUD instance part of replication topology, but not able to reach a replication server)

6. Using the "dsreplication status" command/sub-command to observe the status of replication and to detect any issues.
