Oracle Access Manager (OAM) - How To Use WL-Proxy-Client-IP (Doc ID 1932036.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 13, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Access Manager - Version 11.1.2.2.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

When you configure an Oracle Access Manager (OAM) Cluster, the Oracle documentation explains how to configure an Oracle HTTP Server (OHS) instance in front of the clustered managed servers. This OHS instance is configured to use the mod_wl_ohs module to serve correctly the data.

In the real world, an additional proxy could be set between the OHS instance and the OAM Cluster. In this case, the OAM Sessions are recorded with the IP address of this proxy, instead of the IP of the machine hosting the webgate agent.
