Got "Asset not found" during WebCenter Content (WCC) - WebCenter Sites (WCSites) deletion synchronization

Symptoms
For an asset that was synchronized from WebCenter Content (WCC) to WebCenter Sites (WCSites), if the corresponding content items is deleted on WCC, the next time we run the connector we see "Asset not found" for the corresponding asset.
For example:

The result is that the corresponding WCSites assets of the deleted WCC assets are not deleted on WCSites, i.e. orphan assets.
Changes
During WCC integration, in wcc-integration.ini, the wcc_keyfield is set to a custom flex attribute.
For example:
wcc.keyfield=wcc_id
