Symptoms


Custom images are not copied or uploaded to spaces when customizing asstes like page styles or page templates with JDeveloper for WebCenter portal round-trip development.

Steps To Reproduce:
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:  (Documentation can be found here: https://docs.oracle.com/en/middleware/ near the bottom of the page under the "WebCenter" heading).

  1. Setup JDeveloper for Asset Development.

  2. Open the DesignWebCenterSpaces.jws project in JDeveloper.
  3. Put some custom images in the shared folder under the WebCenterSpacesResource project.

  4. Customize an asset like a page style or page template to include references to some images in the shared folder.
  5. Then upload the asset (page style or page template) back to WebCenter Portal using direct upload or exporting to an ear file and importing the ear file in WebCenter Portal.
  6. When viewing the page style or page template in WebCenter Portal you will see the images are not included.
    If you exported the page style or page template to an ear file you can see the shared folder with the images are not included in the ear file.
