Can You Move A SOA Domain Running On Solaris To A Linux System? (Doc ID 1940248.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 15, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle SOA Suite - Version 11.1.1.5.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Q1. Is there a way to 'move' an existing Oracle SOA Suite installation from one Operating System to another?
eg: Oracle SOA Suite 11.1.1.5 on Solaris to the same Oracle SOA Suite 11.1.1.5 but on Linux?

Assumptions for this question:
The midtier host.domain and ip information would be expected to change.  eg: the Solaris system would keep the existing host.domain and ip address.  The Linux system would have a new host.domain and different ip address.
The RDBMS layer is expected not to change (RAC cluster on a different node)
