Symptoms

Directory Integration Platform (DIP) 11g, for integration with Microsoft (MS) Active Directory (AD), Enterprise User Security (EUS) and Oracle Unified Directory (OUD) 11g 11.1.2.2.0.

(Note: Also ran into the problem of having to include oidexcfg.jar and ldapjclnt11.jar in the $CLASSPATH as per:   java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError at oracle.ldap.extplg.oidexcfg - Configuring External Authentication Plugin in 11g <Document 1074101.1>.)

Configuring the external authentication plug-ins for AD in OUD fails:
