Last updated on DECEMBER 03, 2014

Applies to:

Oracle WebCenter Portal - Version and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

This issue could be seen on an environment using WebCenter Portal (WCP) and WebCenter Content (WCC) with BP3 (Bundle Patch) or higher.

An error is seen for any attempt to search in WebCenter Portal Document Explorer.  The expected result would be for it to return a filtered list of documents.

The Search is documented in the 'FMW Building Portals With Oracle WebCenter Portal' documentation, Chapter 34 'Working with Document Task Flows'

A screen shot is shown below showing the task flow and the 'Filter' box used for searching.

This is is the error:

Oracle Content Server error: Unable to execute service GET_SEARCH_RESULTS and function getSearchResults. The error was caused by an internally generated issue. The error has been logged.

The diagnostic message seen in WCC is as follows:

0 [APP: Oracle Universal Content Management - Content Server] [URI: /webcenter/faces/oracle/webcenter/page/scopedMD/sf20e2dc7_43cd_4184_8b5a_392c710c129f/Page3.jspx] general exception[[
intradoc.common.ServiceException: !csServiceDataException,GET_SEARCH_RESULTS,getSearchResults!$
Caused by: !csSearchUnableToEvaluateScript,((dOriginalName `test`)) (xCollectionID > `0` xCollectionID < `0`)

Searching directly from WCC still works fine.
