Last updated on SEPTEMBER 21, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle GoldenGate - Version 11.2.0.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.
Placement of key GoldenGate files (trail files, checkpoint files, parameter files and bounded recovery files) should be placed on Database File System (DBFS) stored within the database protected by Oracle Data Guard. This keeps the GoldenGate processes and the key files in sync during a Data Guard role transition.

Goal

The goal of this note is to provide an example that can be used to automatically change the Data Pump RMTHOST parameter on a GoldenGate source database after a Data Guard role transition of the GoldenGate target database, where there are Replicat processes running.
