GlassFish Server - Shared Subscriptions Not Working With Mdb Topic Durable Subscribers (Doc ID 1950141.1)

Symptoms

An application, that contains a Message Driven Bean (MDB) configured to use a durable subscription, fails to load on a GlassFish 3.1.2 cluster where the default JMS host has been configured to use a REMOTE mode Message Queue (MQ) broker or broker cluster.  The error is not seen if the default JMS host is changed to use either EMBEDDED or LOCAL mode.  The problem is not seen with the same application deployed on GlassFish 2.1.1 with the default JMS host in REMOTE mode.  An example of the error is shown below:
