CSDT Eclipse Plugin Fails To Connect With SSL Via Remote Connection

Symptoms
On : 11.1.1..6.1 or 11.1.1.8.0 version, WebCenter Sites
Attempting to use CSDT, when remote sites connection loginpage is using https, throws the following error (prior to importing the certificate to the client):
eclipse error event details:
*** Developer Tools: Failed to acquire multi ticket, sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target
after importing the certificate, an error similar to the following is received.
