Symptoms

Used Site Launcher (launch copy) option to replicate the existing site.
Afterwards see that all the asset definitions(subtypes) associated to enabled assettypes have been deleted i.e wiped out completely with no trace.
There are no 'VO' records of the definition assets in the flex definition tables too.
