Seeing A Large File Size Increase When Downloading Images as TIFF In WCC Imaging
(Doc ID 1967131.1)
Last updated on APRIL 15, 2024
Applies to:
Oracle WebCenter Content: Imaging - Version 11.1.1.6.0 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
When files are downloaded as TIFF using the Imaging Viewer, the file size of the image is expanding between 3 and 10 times its original file size.
The original image is a PDF file, and they are downloaded by users as a TIFF (not downloaded as original). Downloading the original format does not cause the image size to increase.
Example:
The original PDF size when input into Imaging is 579k.
When downloading the same images as a tiff in Imaging, the size is 5,660k.
