Symptoms
If there are 2 different information fields like xEmpNo and xEmployeeNo, both having the same caption, such as 'Employee Number'; when selecting the field in a rule or defining a condition for this field to make it as a derived field, it picks up the first one which was created in the system which is in this case xEmpNo rather then the desired field which in this case is xEmployeeNo.
Changes
For this to occur, first create 2 different fields - EmpNo and EmployeeNo and map them to the same caption as EmployeeNumber.
Then select the 2nd field when trying to use it in a rule. The system picks only the 1st created field in the system.
