Symptoms

Oracle Virtual Directory (OVD) 11g.

After enabling the LDAP Ping Protocol in an OVD LDAP adapter, receiving the following errors everytime (every minute) OVD pings a server for a healthcheck:

[2015-02-16T20:20:00.890+00:00] [octetstring] [WARNING] [OVD-60174] [com.octetstring.vde.backend.jndi.oid.BackendJNDI] [tid: <TID>] [ecid: <ECID>] Remote server unreachable and marked inactive: <HOSTNAME>:<PORT>.
