ODI-23018 And ORA-01017 Errors When Connecting to ODI Studio (Doc ID 1984038.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to connect to Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) Studio after either:

and then attempting to log in, you get the message:

ODI-23018 Unable to Connect to Work Repository

with the following in the "Details" window:

java.sql.SQLException: Exception occurred while getting connection: oracle.ucp.UniversalConnectionPoolException: Cannot get Connection from Datasource: java.sql.SQLException:

ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied

However, when attempting to connect to the ODI Work Repository user via SQL Developer, no problems occur.
