"status=400" or "No Connection to Server" Error Messages In Identity Consoles Accessed Via a Load Balancer
(Doc ID 1987598.1)
Last updated on JANUARY 14, 2020
Applies to:Identity Manager - Version 220.127.116.11.0 to 18.104.22.168.0 [Release 11g]
Information in this document applies to any platform.
While performing various operations in the Identity consoles, various connection related errors are seen. These errors do not occur when using the internal URL that does not go through OHS or load balancer.
For example, from Identity Self Service -> Manage -> Users, when searching for users or when hitting the Create button to create a user, an error is seen with:
A connection to the server has failed (status=400)
For example, from Identity System Administration ->Import, after selecting a file to import, an error popup is seen with:
No Connection to Server
Could not load: /xlWebApp/DeploymentManager/loadUD.do?....yourDocName.xml.
Similarly, various related errors are reported for other activities (such as activating a Sandbox) in the Identity Self Service or Identity System Administration consoles.
The issue can occur following the addition of the load balancer/web tier or after expanding the OHS web tier implementation with a new node.
It can also suddenly occur after no changes when the web tier configuration has been working without issue for some time.
