Symptoms
While performing various operations in the Identity consoles, various connection related errors are seen. These errors do not occur when using the internal Uniform Resource Locator (URL) that does not go through Oracle HTTP Server (OHS) or Load Balancer.
For example, from Identity Self Service -> Manage -> Users, when searching for users or when hitting the Create button to create a user, an error is seen with:
Similarly, various related errors are reported for other activities (such as activating a Sandbox) in the Identity Self Service or Identity System Administration consoles.
Changes
The issue can occur following the addition of the Load Balancer/Web Tier or after expanding the OHS Web Tier implementation with a new node.
It can also suddenly occur after no changes when the Web Tier configuration has been working without issue for some time.
