Why are Custom Storage Rule Names Prefixed With WwFsRule in the Option List? (Doc ID 1987936.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 16, 2023

Oracle WebCenter Content - Version 11.1.1.8.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

We are noticing in our 11.1.1.8.0 content server that there is a prefix being placed in front of our custom storage rule names in option lists. For instance, if we created a storage rule called "QA_MainStorage1", then the rule name stays the same in the defaultfilestore provider where the storage rule is created. However, the Configuration Manager will show "wwFsRule_QA_MainStorage1" and it will appear that way in the Storage Rule option list. Why is this? Is there any harm in it?
