Exalogic Virtual: Guest VServers Are Not Accessible By EoIB Address And The HWaddr Value Is Shown As 00:00:00:00:00:00 (Doc ID 1991841.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 14, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Exalogic Elastic Cloud Software - Version 2.0.6.0.0 to 2.0.6.2.0
Linux x86-64

Symptoms

When restarting vservers, after patching, the vservers appear to start fine with the exception of the EoIB network. On inspection, it is found that the bond for EoIB shows a HWADDR of 00:00:00:00:00:00. The ifcfg files for the bond in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts show valid HWADDR values however, when checking vnics on the NM2-GW gateways by using the GUIDs specified in the respective vm.cfg files, they are either non-existent, or have MAC addresses that don't match the appropriate HWADDR. vm.cfg files are found in /OVS/Repositories/*/VirtualMachines/*/vm.cfg off any of the vservers.

Changes

This environment may have been upgraded from 2.0.4.0.x to 2.0.6.x.x
