ODI Agents 12c Generating Log File Entries Regarding SUPERVISOR "oracle.security.idm.AuthenticationException: invalid username/password"

Using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) 18.104.22.168.0 and after having configured external authentication (on Microsoft AD), and configured the already existing Agents (standalone & 2EE) to use the new authentication procedure.
The Agents start without issues in all ODI environments (PRODUCTION, DEVELOPMENT, UAT) and keep working, but after a couple of minutes error messages are seen in the log file indicating an issue with SUPERVISOR user credentials.
However, in PRODUCTION environment, SUPERVISOR user does no longer exist, and there is a different user in AD assigned with **supervisor** role.
The following error occurs in the agent log:
A user called SUPERVISOR does no longer exist in PRODUCTION, but does exist in DEVELOPMENT and UAT.
In PRODUCTION another user (not called SUPERVISOR) has been created, but having **supervisor** role.
