Oracle Service Bus sending 'NOOP' to SMTP Server leads to stuck threads (Doc ID 1994651.1)

Symptoms

On : 11.1.1.7.0 version, OSB

Experiencing multiple stuck threads in the OSB JVM due to SMTP Alert Notification. Observed several processes that appeared to correspond to the following:

root 25192 1 0 05:04 ? 00:00:00 sendmail: t2B94JNI025192 localhost [127.0.0.1]: NOOP
root 28487 1 0 05:12 ? 00:00:00 sendmail: t2B9Cgjv028487 localhost [127.0.0.1]: NOOP
