Memory Leak In Using RSA FIPS-140 Compliant JSSE Provider (Doc ID 1996001.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 22, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle WebLogic Server - Version 12.1.3.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

WebLogic Server supports the use of the RSA FIPS-compliant (FIPS 140-2) crypto module. When using RSA JSSE Provider as specified in the link below

           https://docs.oracle.com/middleware/1213/wls/SECMG/fips.htm#SECMG768

a constant memory growth from the RSA objects from the RSA library, sslj.jar, is observed.

This leads to system performance issues and it requires to restart the servers very frequently.
