render:getbloburl Does Not Check an Asset's Enddate When Setting Pagelet's Expire Time (Doc ID 1997481.1)

Last updated on APRIL 30, 2021

Applies to:

Oracle WebCenter Sites - Version 11.1.1.6.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

The expire time of a cached pagelet is not properly set after calling <asset:filterassetsbydate> in combination with the <render:getbloburl> tag for an asset with an enddate configured.

An example of a pagelet template:

Expected behavior:

If an asset has a value for the enddate attribute, and it is rendered with a template that uses <asset:filterassetsbydate> the cached pagelet should expire at the enddate time.

Actual behavior:

Without calling the getbloburl tag, the pagelet will have an expire time set to the enddate of the asset.

However, after the getbloburl tag is called, the pagelet's expire time is set to the default - 10 years in the future.

Changes

The issue is observed for assets with enddate set.
