OHS Upgraded From 11.1.1.7.0 To 12.1.3 In Shared Filesystem For Domain Deleting The Runtime Instance (Doc ID 2000032.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 25, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle HTTP Server - Version 12.1.3.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Customer has a 2 node SOA cluster and each node has OHS installed and configured.

Once the Domain is upgraded from 11.1.1.7.0 to 12.1.3, the INSTANCE_HOME has been moved to DOMAIN_HOME and all the OHS instance configuration files are kept under $DOMAIN_HOME/config/fmwconfig/components/OHS/instances.
Since the customer has a shared filesystem for the DOMAIN_HOME, the OHS instance runtime folder gets deleted automatically when the other OHS gets started (cause they are using the same folder/instance name).
