Scalability Problem With Preview And Dynamic Converter (Doc ID 2009374.1)

Goal

The user has encountered some performance and scalability issues which appear to be related to the ADF user interface. Symptoms include increased active database connections and performance degradation.  After further investigation, it was determined the bottleneck was sourced with Dynamic Converter and how it created cache retention for previews of converted content.  The storage rules for the PNG files generated by Dynamic Converter for preview appear to create copies of file in the filestorage table and another copy under the weblayout file system. The user in this case wanted to know if there was a way to improve Dynamic Converter performance so that it could handle more concurrent throughput.
