Last updated on AUGUST 29, 2023
Applies to:
Oracle JDeveloper - Version 11.1.1.1.0 and laterGeneric Windows
Symptoms
When the ADFdi client attempts to communicate with the corresponding ADFdi server component hosted by the web application, a number of components and technologies come into play. In most cases, everything works smoothly. In some cases, there is a problem. Some problems (such as data validation failures) are expected and handled gracefully. However, it is also possible to see unexpected errors. This article describes what a user might see in the client and how to begin the investigation.
The main symptom is:
ADFDI-00117: An unexpected error occurred while reading the server response. Consult the logs for more information.
The secondary message may vary. Examples include:
- ADFDI-00116: The DIRemoteServlet returned invalid XML: unexpected end of response.
- ADFDI-00500: unable to execute Wininet method HttpSendRequest; error code:12150
