WebCenter Portal Search doesn't Return Any WCC Documents When Integrating with SES (Doc ID 2013655.1)

Symptoms

No documents are returned when attempting to search on a WebCenter Portal (WCP) 11.1.1.8 configured with Secure Enterprise Search (SES) to crawl WebCenter Content (WCC).

When trying to search WCC content from WebCenter Portal, it doesn't return any documents.

When trying to execute the crawler in SES Administration screen, it fails with the following error:

Error Log
EQG-10333: no new documents collected for data source "MyContentServer"

The SES Crawler log file shows the following error message:

Please check the following 1. Verify that the feed conforms to the feed schema and there are no XML parsing errors in the feed. 2. Check that the network to the repository is available. 3. Check that the feed has not been deleted from the repository.[[

If sescrawlerexport trace is enabled in WCC, the WCC trace log shows the following:

>sescrawlerexport/6 05.26 00:37:44.215 IdcServer-486 Created config for source: default

If socketrequests trace is enabled in WCC, the WCC trace log shows the username and password that was sent from SES (In this example the password is 123):

>socketrequests/6 05.26 00:31:05.799 IdcServer-468 request: lastCrawlTime=2015-05-26T00:26:33+EST.
