Standard Checkin Form Doesn't Change Other Field Values After Selecting a Folder (Doc ID 2014506.1)

Symptoms

When using the standard New Checkin form to check in a content item and selecting a particular folder on this form for the content item, the other fields are not changing their values to match the values set on that folder.

To reproduce:

  1. Create a new folder with some default metadata values set on the folder.
  2. Check a new content item into the folder just created using the standard checkin form, and select the folder using the Browse button next to the Folder field.
  3. The Content Information for the item shows that it does not have its field values set to those that are set on the folder.
