After Applying Capture Patch 7, Indexing Does Not Work on Latin Characters with Accents
Last updated on APRIL 20, 2017
Applies to:Oracle WebCenter Enterprise Capture - Version 18.104.22.168.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.
After applying Capture Patch 7, indexing functionality is not working properly. The values indexed get lost after the batch is released if these values contain accented letters (á é í ó ú) or some special characters like ñ.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Select a Capture only Client Profile which is not configured to commit.
2. Create a new batch with one document.
3. Release the batch.
4. Select an associated Index only Client Profile which is not configured to commit.
5. Index document with values that contain accented letters or some special characters, for example: Crédito - Jurídica - Año.
6. Release the batch.
7. Edit the batch.
8. Note the field is blank.
