Can HTTP Libraries Supplied with RIDC App Lib be Replaced with Higher Version for ADF Application? (Doc ID 2029478.1)

In order to utilise some amazon services there is a need to replace the httpcore-4.1.2 jar (that is part of RIDC App Lib) with the newer version httpcore-4.2 and this will result in weblogic using the new libraries instead. Is this a supported strategy or is there a risk of falling out of line with support recommendations?

If so, is there an alternative strategy that can be used instead so that the ADF application can use the httpcore-4.2 libraries instead of those that are supplied with weblogic?
