OPMNCTL COMMAND HAS A LIMITATION FOR INSTANCE NAME WHILE CREATING AN INSTANCE (Doc ID 2034821.1)

Symptoms

Creation of an instance name failed while using the following command:

$ORACLE_HOME/opmn/bin/opmnctl createinstance -oracleInstance $ORACLE_HOME/instances/<INSTANCE_NAME> -adminRegistration OFF

For example:

$ORACLE_HOME/opmn/bin/opmnctl createinstance -oracleInstance $ORACLE_HOME/instances/SCCSIMWOHS11INTRAPublicSPCPWebU1 -adminRegistration OFF

The command failed with the below error :

Command failed: Invalid instance name: SCCSIMWOHS11INTRAPublicSPCPWebU1
