Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Oracle Internet Directory (OID) 11g, i.e., 11.1.1.7.0.

Trying to add OID server to the list of LDAP servers used by ZFS Appliance that is in the Exalogic rack, in the browser user interface.

This has a GUI URL that is used to configure LDAP with this particular appliance, using this form:

Deselecting the SSL check box allows the adding of this server to the list of LDAP providers to work, and a valid UID/GID identity mapping that is provided by the OID server can be obtained/seen.

The same operation works fine for another OID server.

Oiddiag outputs from working and nonworking OIDs show both OIDs use same SSL port 636, configured the same for SSL mode 2 (server authentication).
Working and nonworking nodes SSL configurations are the same except that the nonworking node has ciphers listed whereas the working node does not.
