Goal

Folders_g (Contribution Folders) gives the ability to move a set of sub-folders and it's contents to another folder. This comes in handy especially when the parent folder has too many sub-folders / contents and browsing it from desktop clients becomes very slow / performance intensive .

To achieve this requirement administrators can either use Archiver or from command line using RIDC leveraging the Folders_g services . This article lists the steps to achieve this requirement where by the condition is that it looks up for the content items by searching a parent folder and all it's sub-folders and moves the resulting contents and folders to a new contribution folder on the same instance .

Here the sample code does a blank search where in it picks up the entire contents from the parent folder. It can be modified as per the requirement .
