Wrapper option for Blob vanity url patterns? (Doc ID 2053973.1)

Goal

It seems that using Wrapper elements which are intended for access control, are not implemented for blob Vanity url patterns. Is that correct?
Is there any recommended workaround on using a Wrapper (or any other intended element) to perform a check like "if user is authorized then deliver blob, else redirect"?
