How To Accurately Count And Identify Documents In SESCrawlerExport Snapshot (Doc ID 2055607.1)

Last updated on APRIL 10, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle WebCenter Content - Version 11.1.1.8.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Q1) Prior to a crawl from SES, how can we get an exact count of the number of documents which will be provided by UCM during the crawl?

This is important because the SES crawl will report the number of documents "discovered" and we need to be able to compare that number with the number of documents which were provided by UCM.

Q2) Prior to a crawl from SES, how can we identify exactly which documents (e.g. a list of ddocname values) will be provided by UCM during the crawl?

This is important because if the number of documents "discovered" by SES during the crawl is less than the number of documents provided by UCM, we need to be able to identify which documents provided by UCM were not "discovered".

Q3) If there is a long-running folder metadata propagation ongoing while a snapshot is being taken (ongoing even after the snapshot is complete), how does this affect the snapshot, and any additional feeds subsequent to the snapshot?
