Selecting Page Link From 'Links' Task Flow Shows 'Internal Error' Page If User Has Already Navigated To An External Link (Doc ID 2062802.1)

Last updated on MAY 31, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle WebCenter Portal - Version 11.1.1.8.5 to 11.1.1.8.8 [Release 11g]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

This issue is seen when using the default Links task flow in a Portal and the task flow contains links to an external site and also contains links to pages.

The problem occurs only when the user has initially selected one of the External links in this task flow. When the user then navigates back to the page where the links Taskflow is placed, selecting any other link results in an internal error page:

When the user subsequently selects a page Link in the Links Task Flow, a new tab opens with an error on the page:

Internal Error (WCS#2015.03.11.22.02.26)
If the error persists, report the problem to your administrator.

This only occurs if an External Link on the Links Task Flow is first created and the link is selected. Only then, when going back and  selecting a Page Link will the error appear.
