Symptoms

When attempting to customize the error message displayed by Reports 11g or later version using a Java API the following error like the following occurs:

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Setup in the report.sh the REPORTS_CLASSPATH adding your jar file i.e <INSTANCE_HOME>/reports/jlib/JobRepositoryCustom.jar at the end.
2. Restart the Reports Server.
3. Run a Report using reports URL, observe the error in diagnostics files.

Adding a custom java file to display customized message when using Job Repository and login fails.
