Symptoms

After an upgrade of Oracle Internet Directory (OID) 11g, OID server fails to start.

OIDMON reports:

Exec of OIDLDAPD failed with error 20

And/Or, oidmon log shows:

The issue is not tied to an upgrade - it can happen on any installation using setuid binaries on NFS4 mounts.
